Wanderers launch Gold Star Luncheon

The NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Wanderers will launch the inaugural Gold Star Luncheon at ANZ Stadium this Friday.

To commemorate the Club’s 2014 success in winning the AFC Champions League and on the eve of commencing its fifth Hyundai A-League season, the luncheon will form part of a Gold Star Series of events held in Western Sydney annually.

With a proud Club tradition of focusing attention on Western Sydney, the Gold Star Luncheon will include a unique football experience on pitch, an exclusive insight into what it takes to be a champion and a look back with some of the founding fathers of football in Western Sydney.

Hosted by Fox Sports’ Tara Rushton with two conversation panels to be chaired by Simon Hill, the event will delve into some of the great names of Western Sydney with Wanderers Head Coach Tony Popovic and Socceroos and Premier League winner Mark Bosnich alongside two Socceroos greats, Hall of Fame inductees Ron Lord and Manfred Schaefer.

The second panel will represent champions of Western Sydney including Rio Gold Medallist Chloe Esposito and Wanderers’ very own Olympian, Ellie Carpenter.

Entertainment on arrival will be from Prinnie Stevens with a mid-event set to be performed by iconic Australian rocker Ian Moss (Cold Chisel) to round out the event.

With over 550 guests already attending, tickets to the first ever Gold Star luncheon are almost sold out. Business leaders from Western Sydney are being urged to get in fast to secure their table to this milestone Wanderers event.
