Ins & outs for Saturday’s match against Wellington

Tony Popovic has named his squad for Saturday’s match against Wellington Phoenix at Mt Smart Stadium in Auckland.

Three players have been added to an extended squad, with Kerem Bulut and Shannon Cole being recalled and Jerrad Tyson returning from his one-game suspension in place of youngster Nick Suman.

After beating Wellington 3-2 in the Westfield FFA Cup Round of 32 back in August, the Wanderers will tackle the Nix for the thirteenth time in the Hyundai A-League.

The head-to-head record between the two sides sits at five wins apiece, with the points being shared on two occasions.

The last league meeting between the two outfits saw a Brendon Santalab double hand the Wanderers a 2-0 win at Westpac Stadium in Round 27 of last season.

Having recently parted ways with Ernie Merrick, interim coaches Chris Greenacre and Des Buckingham will be hoping their side can build on last week’s 3-0 win against the Mariners.

Just two points separate the sixth-placed Wanderers and the eighth-placed Phoenix on the ladder.
