Western Sydney Wanderers FC can today confirm the departure of Catherine Cannuli who has stepped down from her role as the club’s Liberty A-League head coach.
The Wanderers would like to thank Catherine for her service and dedication since joining the club as an assistant coach in the women’s football department in 2017.
An incredible ambassador to the women’s game and the next generation of female footballers and coaches, Cannuli was promoted to the role of head coach of the Wanderers Liberty A-League team in 2021.
Cannuli thanked the Wanderers for her time with the club.
“I love this club and have had a wonderful time working here over the years, first as a player and since 2017, as a coach,” said Cannuli.
“While it is time for me to take a step-back for now, I will still be around in my role in the Southern Districts Association and working with the club in the community.”
Wanderers Head of Women’s Football, Tom Sermanni, will lead the recruitment of the club’s new Liberty A-League women’s head coach with an announcement expected in the coming weeks.
