Leading the Western Sydney Wanderers Football Club into our fifth season is a great honour.
As a Club we have great pride in what we have achieved as a group. From the players and staff to our members and fans, this Club has created its own unique history in a short time.
This season we will compete in the Hyundai A-League and return for our third time to the AFC Champions League, a tournament we plan to succeed in again. On the pitch and at training the players have been dedicated and focused.
This season is going to be something special and with your support we will continue our ambition to be a Club that is respected domestically and internationally.
Tonight we open the season with the 13th edition of the Sydney Derby – brought to you by Event Cinemas – a match that our whole Club shares a unique passion for and one we are determined to win.
Playing our first ever match at ANZ Stadium in front of a record crowd will be a special experience for us all.
As a group we have the drive and the determination to be successful again this year and I look forward to sharing this journey with all of you.
