Wanderers Announce Player Departures

The Western Sydney Wanderers have parted ways with Daniel Alessi, Alusine Fofanah and Shayne D’Cunha following the conclusion of their contracts.

One of the first youth team players to break into the Wanderers’ first team, Alessi made his debut in a 2014 Sydney Derby win and went on to make 11 first team appearances in the Hyundai A-League, AFC Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup and Westfield FFA Cup.

Alusine Fofanah made history when he became the youngest player to debut in the Hyundai A-League in 2014 with the Sierra Leone-born winger making a total of seven appearances in the Hyundai A-League, FIFA Club World Cup and Westfield FFA Cup.

Fellow defender Shayne D’Cunha made history as the first Indian-born player in the Hyundai A-League as he played two matches in the 2014/15 season.
