Western Sydney Wanderers FC have today confirmed the signing of midfielder Amy Chessari on a scholarship deal for the upcoming Liberty A-League season.
Set for her first season in the domestic competition, Chessari has broken into the competition off the back of a successful season in the Football NSW National Premier League Women’s with Football NSW Institute where she featured in 20 matches.
Chessari has been a familiar name in the Australian National Team set-up and was recently named in the U-20s National Team side who participated in a training camp in September this year.
The youngster said she was eager to kick-off her first season in the Liberty A-League competition.
“I’m so excited to kick off my very first Liberty A-League Women’s competition with the Wanderers! I’m expecting a really competitive league as well as a high level of football across the competition,” said Chessari.
“This upcoming season with Western Sydney will be a great opportunity to test myself against the best in the league.
“This season I’m really looking forward to developing my own game as well as gaining some A-league experience.
“It’s great to be surrounded by such a talented and experienced group of girls, I’m really enjoying it!”
