Everything you need to know for tonight’s match against Glory

They might be the competition’s form team but Perth will need to overcome a poor record at Pirtek Stadium in order to take the points back to Western Australia tonight.

Glory have recorded one win at Wanderland in three seasons, scoring just three goals in the process. And considering their sole win and two of those goals arrived in the final game of the 2014/15 season, a trip to Parramatta represents a daunting task for Kenny Lowe’s men.

Defender Alberto returns from suspension whilst Jacob Pepper is promoted. Otherwise, Tony Popovic’s squad is unchanged from last round’s derby draw with two players to be omitted. Perth meanwhile have received a substantial boost in the form of the returning Marc Warren after the defender missed last round’s demolition of Brisbane. Perth Glory

After a dreadful start to the season, Kenny Lowe’s side are on the crest of a wave having established a club-record five match winning streak and should find extra motivation for this encounter with a win propelling the Glory into the top six for the first time this campaign.

Mitch Nichols Perth Glory

Last Saturday’s demolition of then-ladder leaders Brisbane Roar sent a stern message to the competition and underlined their genuine claim as the competition’s dark horses. Including the 6-3 thrashing of Brisbane, Lowe’s men have scored 18 goals in their last five games: they had only managed 17 across the entire season previous to their five match unbeaten streak.

Spanish import and signing of the season candidate Diego Castro has been pivotal in their upsurge in form, whilst an in-form Andy Keogh has three goals in his last four. The return of the Irish frontman has arguably been the sweetest thing to happen to Perth all campaign, and the forward has been a central part in their elevation.
