Western Sydney Wanderers School of the Year announced!

The NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Wanderers recently embarked on a mission to find the biggest Wanderers fans in the community through the School of the Year competition.

This year saw was the inaugural edition of the competition, setting the scene for schools from the Western Sydney region to compete in set community and club-related challenges to earn points.
 
Challenges included having a Red & Black day, hosting a charity day, hosting a skills intensive program and creating Wanderers themed art.

Throughout the length of the competition there have been weekly prize draws with schools winning free Soccer In Schools Clinics and football packs by earning the most points during any given week.
 
At the end of the challenge, the school with the most points won the title of School of the Year with Wallacia Public School coming out on top with over 50,000 points!

Being announced School of the Year meant Wallacia PS got to host our School of the Year Expo which rewarded the staff and students and celebrated the crucial role they play in the Western Sydney community.
 
Students at Wallacia Public School were today able to enjoy range of activities, including a coaching clinic hosted by players, jumping castle, face painting and photo opportunities with the AFC Champions League trophy.

Wallacia also got to host our jersey launch for the upcoming Hyundai A-League 2015/16 season. The home and away jerseys are now available online as well as at our North Rocks Westfield pop-up shop.
