Rockdale Ilinden have been crowned the inaugural winners of the U12s Wanderers Cup.
The tournament played across two days at Wanderers Football Park last week saw a number of National Premier League youth sides compete in the round robin tournament.
The Grand Final saw Manly United and Rockdale Ilinden face off with Rockdale dominating the final fixture of the day with a confident 4-0 victory.
Head of Youth Development Corey Gameiro said the tournament was a huge success.
“The tournament was a great success across both days. There was a lot of talent in every team, and it was a great opportunity for these young players to showcase their talent,” said Gameiro.
“We’re privileged to have these amazing facilities here at the Wanderers where we can host different events and want to continue putting on these types of tournaments in the future for different age groups.”
Clubs that competed: Rockdale Ilinden, Sydney United 58, Hakoah FC, Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC, Bankstown City Lions FC, Manly United, Manly Warringah FA.
Most Valuable Player: Francessco Arena (Sydney United 58).
Golden Boot (Three joint winners): Karim Abdul-Rahman (Rockdale Ilinden), Oscar Finucane (Rockdale Ilinden) and Nikola Babic (Hakoah FC).
