Priestman signs two year extension

Western Sydney Wanderers FC have today confirmed the extension of young midfielder Oscar Priestman’s contract until the end of the 2026/27 Isuzu UTE A-League season.

Priestman joined the Wanderers at the start of the 2023 season from the club’s cross-town rivals and was quickly became an integral part of the club’s midfield.

The 21-year-old featured in 25 matches in his first season of the domestic competition with his standout performances earning him selection in the Subway Australia U-23s squad who recently played in the PacificAus Sports Football Series.

Western Sydney Wanderers head coach Alen Stajcic spoke highly of Oscar’s work ethic.

“Oscar is a tremendous young person and footballer, and will be a huge asset to the club in the future,” said Stajcic.

“With a work ethic and talent second to none, it will be great to see him grow and develop within our A-League team and club environment.”

Oscar Priestman said he was looking forward to contributing to the club having a successful season.

“I’m just excited and grateful to re-sign with the club, I’ve been really enjoying the pre-season and all the training we have been putting in, we’ve got a really good group of boys and coaching staff,” said Priestman.

“Hopefully this season I can contribute to us having a really successful season.”
