Ins & Outs: Western United v Wanderers

Head coach Alen Stajcic has named his extended squad for Sunday night’s clash against Western United at Ironbark Fields.

The Red & Black are set to play in their first away match of the season, travelling to Western United’s new home ground at Ironbark Fields.

The Wanderers will be looking to bounce back from their Derby Day opening round defeat, which despite the result, showed many positive signs for the season ahead.

Aydan Hammond was a constant thorn in the opposition defence throughout the match and had several key chances in the game, while goalkeeper Tristan Vidackovic too had an impressive game in his A-League debut in place of captain Lawrence Thomas.

The Wanderers did well against Western United last season, recording a record equalling 5-0 win at home and a 1-0 win at North Hobart Oval in the new year, before going down at home in their final matchup of the season.
