Derby Day is just around the corner as we travel to East Sydney on Saturday to take on Sydney FC at Allianz Stadium.

This is the first of three Sydney Derbies this season and with the Champions League Final just around the corner we head into the biggest three weeks in our Club’s history.

If you can’t make it on the day ensure you’ve got your eyes on Fox Sports 1 when Australia’s biggest sporting rivalry will be broadcast live from 7:30pm.

We’ve got a good record against our cross-city rivals having lost only one of the past five Derbies and with a large contingent of Red & Black fans poised to make the trip East we will be fully supported as we look to continue that trend.

Brendan Hamill will be looking to play in his first ever Sydney Derby and during the week he took us on a trip to his first junior club, Chipping Norton and spoke about the journey from U7s to the biggest match of his career.

You can watch his visit right here.

Meanwhile there has been a lot of talk amongst fans whether new arrival Nikita Rukavytsya will make his debut against the Sky Blue. If you haven’t seen it yet watch his arrival and first interview as a Wanderers right here.

Seyi Adeleke also arrived in the country this week and having undertaken a full pre-season fitness regime overseas he could be a surprise selection to play on Saturday. You can watch his arrival and first interview right here.

Stats that make us feel good

  • 13 out of our last 16 goals have come from open play
  • Sydney FC have conceded in ten of their last 11 matches
  • SFC have only ever scored against us once in the first half
  • Mark Bridge topped the league in passing accuracy last week as he hit 16 out of 16

We take on Sydney FC this Saturday at Allianz Stadium with kick-off at 7:30pm with live coverage on Fox Sports 1.
