Wanderers secure Kim Soeun for Ninja A-League season

Western Sydney Wanderers FC are delighted to announce the signing of South Korean attacker Kim Soeun (Sony) for the Ninja A-League season.

Sony joins the Red & Black from Icheon Hyundai Steel Red Angels WFC, bringing a wealth of experience from both domestic and international football.

The forward has featured prominently in high-stakes matches, including the AFC Women’s Champions League semi-final against Melbourne City and appearances for the South Korean national team against the Matildas.

Known for her pace, creativity, and goal-scoring ability, Sony is expected to add dynamism to the Wanderers’ attacking line-up as a striker, winger, and forward.

Western Sydney Wanderers Ninja A-League head coach Geoff Abrahams said he was delighted to welcome Sony to the club.

“We’re excited to welcome Sony to the Wanderers family. She’s a highly talented attacker with proven experience at both club and international level, and she fits perfectly with the style of football we’re building here,” said Abrahams.

“Her signing also reinforces our commitment to engaging with the Asian football community and providing opportunities for players who bring quality and diversity to our squad.”

Sony will link up with the Wanderers squad on Friday, ahead of Sunday’s Ninja A-League clash against Melbourne Victory and will be available for selection.
