Western Sydney Wanderers FC have today confirmed the signing of New Zealand International Ava Collins as an injury replacement player for the remainder of the season.
Collins brings a wealth of experience from both domestic and international football. Most recently, she played in the NPL NSW with the University of New South Wales side, following a short stint with Auckland United in the Lotto NRFL Women’s Premiership.
Her overseas experience includes time with Kolding IF in the Danish League and representing St John’s Red Storm in New York.
On the international stage, Collins has represented New Zealand with distinction. She was part of the Football Ferns U-20 squad that won the 2019 OFC U-19 Women’s Championship in the Cook Islands, scoring six goals across four games including an incredible five-goal haul against American Samoa.

Collins made her senior debut for the Football Ferns in October 2021 against Canada and has since earned over 10 senior caps for her country.
Head coach Geoff Abrahams welcomed Ava.
“Ava is a dynamic and proven forward who brings energy, versatility and international experience to our squad,” said Abrahams.
“We’re excited to integrate her into the team and know she’ll make an immediate impact during this period.”
Collins has been added to the extended squad for today’s match against Canberra United.
