Western Sydney Wanderers FC are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Isabella Chidiac ahead of the upcoming Ninja A-League season.
Chidiac joins the Wanderers after spending the past four seasons in the United States with the University of Denver, competing in NCAA Division I football.
A product of the Football NSW Institute pathway, Chidiac represented New South Wales at National Championships and was also involved in Young Matildas camps and elite matches during 2021.
Prior to moving to the United States, Chidiac spent time within the Western Sydney Wanderers A-League Women’s setup as a train-on player during the 2021/22 season.
The midfielder developed into a key player during her time at Denver and enjoyed a standout 2025 campaign, starting every match and earning All-Summit League First Team and United Soccer Coaches All-West Region Second Team honours.
Chidiac also finished among the national leaders for assists during the season and led Denver in total points.
Western Sydney Wanderers Ninja A-League head coach Geoff Abrahams said Chidiac’s development overseas had prepared her well for the next stage of her career.
“Isabella has developed enormously through four years of Division I football in the United States and is coming off a really impressive season,” said Abrahams.
“She brings quality and creativity in midfield, and her ability to contribute both in possession and in the final third will add another dimension to our squad.
“She has worked hard for this opportunity and we’re excited to see her take the next step in her career with the Wanderers.”
Chidiac said she was grateful for the opportunity with the Red & Black.
“I’m grateful to be here and I can’t wait for the Ninja A-League season to start. I’m hoping to bring some great technical ability from my time in the United States.
“I was taught to never give up anything, to block goals, and to score goals. I’m very creative, I like to do skills, create and go forward. So, I feel like those characteristics I can bring here and implement them in the team.
“This season is going to be different. We have a bunch of new girls, a bunch of experienced girls, so I feel it’s going to be special.
“We have one thing in mind and that’s to bring a trophy home and to win games.”
