Western Sydney Wanderers FC are delighted to announce the signing of Colombian international forward Elexa Bahr for the upcoming Ninja A-League season.
The 28-year-old arrives in Western Sydney with extensive experience across Europe, North America and South America, adding further attacking quality and international pedigree to the Wanderers squad.
Born in the United States, Bahr enjoyed a standout collegiate career with the University of South Carolina before beginning her professional career in Spain with Racing Féminas.
The versatile attacker later moved to Colombia, representing Deportivo Cali and América de Cali, before joining NWSL outfit Racing Louisville FC.
Bahr returned to América de Cali on loan in 2025 before making the move to Italy with Genoa, where she most recently competed in Serie A.
On the international stage, Bahr represents Colombia and was part of the squad that finished runners-up at the 2022 Copa América Femenina.
She also represented Colombia at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, featuring as the nation produced a historic run to the quarter-finals.
Western Sydney Wanderers Women’s coach Geoff Abrahams said Bahr’s international experience and attacking qualities would be a valuable addition to the squad.
“Elexa is a player who brings significant experience from a number of strong football environments around the world,” said Abrahams.
“She is an exciting and dynamic attacking player who gives us additional quality and versatility in the final third.
“Her experience at both club and international level will be invaluable to the group, and we believe her qualities will complement the squad we are building for the upcoming season.

Bahr said she was excited to begin the next chapter of her career with the Wanderers.
