The NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Wanderers will not contest the four-match suspension handed to Iacopo La Rocca by the Hyundai A-League Match Review Panel yesterday.
La Rocca received a direct red card in the 95th minute of the match against Sydney FC on Saturday night.
Coach Tony Popovic said the club would put all of its focus on its Round 27 match against Newcastle Jets at Hunter Stadium on Friday.
Popovic said several of the club-s players were battling injury and they would be given the remainder of the week to prove their fitness for the Newcastle match.
“We are assessing our players who are battling injuries and we will give them a few more sessions to prove their fitness for Friday,” Popovic said.
“Some of them have made some progress, and we will continue to monitor them and give them every opportunity to play.
“However, we will only play players who are fully fit to take the pitch and we will not take any risks.”
The injured players are Michael Beauchamp (quad), Adam D-Apuzzo (foot), Shinji Ono (groin), Jerome Polenz (quad) and Aaron Mooy (knee).
