Midfielder Mateo Poljak is now settled in Australia and in the Hyundai A-League and knows there are plenty of things the Wanderers can improve on.

After what has been an exciting and tough start to the club-s debut campaign the 23-year-old is adamant that the side will continue to get better.

“You said it, it has been tough, we got a point but obviously wanted more but we have given our best each week and we will improve,” Poljak said.

When asked about his own form, Poljak was quick to let us know.

“I know I want to do better and I will.”

With Croatian being his first language the foreign import has had some minor troubles communicating but he doesn-t believe it is causing him too many problems out on the pitch.

“I practice every day and our communication could improve a little on the field. Sometimes I want to say something but it doesn-t come out right, it is something I-m working on.”

Away from the pitch Poljak is loving his time in Australia and says every day is filled with new experiences.

“I love it, every day I see something new and each day is getting easier to live.

“I have only been to the city two or three times and been to The Rocks and seen the Opera House. I have a list of things that I want to see but I have a lot of time.
