The Western Sydney Wanderers are pleased to announce the re-signings of Chloe O’Brien and Rachel Lowe for the upcoming Westfield W-League season.
Midfielder Chloe O’Brien joined the Red & Black back in the 2014/15 Westfield W-League season and has made over 20 appearances for the club.
A number of impressive performances in both the NPL and Westfield W-League saw O’Brien named in the U20 Young Matildas and the U19 Matildas squad for the 2015 U19 AFC Women’s Championship, where Australia narrowly missed out on the semi-finals.
O’Brien scored her first goal for the Wanderers in the club’s 2-1 victory against Newcastle Jets in Round 4 of the 2015/16 season.
Regarded as a player with a big future, Rachel Lowe has spent the majority of her career in Football NSW Institute’s development pathway.
Lowe made her debut for the club against Sydney FC in Round 2 of the Westfield W-League last season and has now made 12 appearances in Red & Black.
The midfielder was also recently named in the Young Matildas squad for a training camp ahead of the AFC U19 Women’s Championships in China.
