The Wanderers Schools Cup Girls Grand Final will open tonight’s Westfield W-League match between Western Sydney Wanderers and Adelaide United.

The Wanderers Schools Cup Girls Grand Final will open tonight’s Westfield W-League match between Western Sydney Wanderers and Adelaide United.

Rouse Hill High School and Westfield Sports High School will go head-to-head in the club’s annual Schools Cup tournament. 

Over 70 girls participated in the Wanderers Schools Cup with the top teams of each region being invited to battle it out in the Semi Finals. 

Westfield Sports High School defeated Bossley Park High School whilst Rouse Hill High School defeated East Hills High School to qualify for the Grand Final. 

Both teams will be heading onto the pitch prior to the Wanderers’ first home Westfield W-League match of the season and will be vying to be crowned the Champions. 

The Champions receive not only the bragging rights but a giant trophy, individual medals and the chance to parade around the field on match day.

The Schools Cup is a round robin tournament held over terms 2 and 3 for schools located in Western Sydney. 

The main outcome of the tournament is to get students active and playing football in a healthy competition whilst embracing sportsmanship, inclusion and social interaction.
