Melbourne City vs. Melbourne Victory – The Melbourne Derby
XBOX – MarcusGomes 3 – 1 MouadZwed
Due to Melbourne Victory Hyundai A-League club duties, Mitch Austin is unavailable take take part in Round 3 of the E-League. As a result, MouadZwed will take the reigns on both platforms. Primarily a PS4 player and against arguably the best player in the Xbox division, it will be an uphill battle from the get go for the Victory player.
PS4 – Joshingwood 2 – 1 MouadZwed
Joshingwood will be looking to gain some form and momentum this week after two weeks of inconsistent performances. With MouadZwed playing across both consoles, this may be the week joshingwood breaks out of his slump and capitalises on an opponent who may not be mentally up for the dual console challenge.
Prediction: Melbourne City with a 5 – 2 win on aggregate to claim local bragging rights
Newcastle Jets vs. Sydney FC
XBOX – Hickory 2 – 3 Samer96_
Hickory showcased showed flashes of quality in his second half performance in Round 2. However, he ultimately failed to convert any of the great chances he created through mounting pressure. Samer96_ also had a mixed week in Round 2, and suffered a narrow defeat to OhNoAGoat. Samer96_ experience and composure may just prove the difference in this match up.
PS4 – BLFifa 1 – 3 xMarkoHD
BLFifa showed some positives in his first appearance in the E-League as he entered the competition in Round 2. However, this week will be a real test of his ability as he faces off against the in-form xMarkoHD. xMarkoHD could run away with this game if BLFifa has to push forward to cover the first tie deficit and it may cause gaps which xMarkoHD can exploit.
Prediction: Sydney FC to win 3-6 on aggregate
Brisbane Roar vs. Adelaide United F.C.
XBOX – Cripsy 3 – 2 FUTWIZ Jamie
Cripsy comes into the match with better form, but his Round 2 performances highlighted lapses in concentration which could cost him against a player of FUTWIZ Jamie’s ability. That being said, Jamie’s performance in Round 1 shows fragility to close out a match and Cripsy could use this to his advantage.
PS4 – Ol_Mate_ 1 – 3 vDreamzShooter
Ol_Mate_ has yet to really show his real ability in the E-League yet and may continue to struggle to against vDreamz. vDreams will be looking to overcome the potential deficit from the first leg to secure the win for Adelaide United on aggregate.
Prediction: Adelaide United to win the round 4-5 on aggregate
Western Sydney Wanderers vs. Wellington Phoenix
XBOX – OhNoAGoat 3 – 1 Justmanutd12
Despite his great performance against Samer96_ in Round 2, OhNoAGoat was unable to convert the match into three points for the Wanderers. OhNoAGoat will be looking to carry his form into Round 3 and play in a similar style during his clash with Justmanutd12. Justmanutd12 has struggled to find consistency in the first two rounds of the E-League and will need to get on the score sheet early if we are to see an upset.
PS4 – RDoublettt 1 – 3 Fweshest
This could prove to be a tight clash as both competitors registered losses in Round 2 of the competition. Both RDoubleTTT and Fweshest will be looking to turn their form around in this match.
Prediction: Both teams to get a share of the points with a 4 – 4 draw on aggregate
Perth Glory vs. Central Coast Mariners
XBOX – HighFly357 1 – 2 StrawHat Camels
Highfly, will be hopeful to turn his fortunes around after a tough defeat in Round 2. Meanwhile, StrawHat Camels has shown he can hold onto a tight lead and grind out a win.
PS4 – Saisanas 4 – 2 KyrenFIFA
King Gupta proved a lot of doubters wrong last week with another win over Fweshest. Kiran will be looking to maintain his form as he faces of against Saisanas, who is the man of the moment. Saisanas has recorded a whopping 10 goals across two rounds of the E-League, with eight of them coming in the final 45 minutes.
Prediction: Perth Glory to take the points with a 5 – 3 win on aggregate
