The NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Wanderers will unite with fellow Hyundai A-League club’s this weekend to Kick It for Brain Cancer.
The Kick It for Brain Cancer fundraiser will form part of the club’s annual Harmony Day celebrations at their Round 26 match against Brisbane Roar at ANZ Stadium.
Brain cancer is the biggest killer of children in Australia. Sadly, the chances of surviving brain cancer are as bleak as they were 30 years ago, with a devastatingly low five-year survival rate of just 20%. But by increasing funding and research, Cure Brain Cancer Foundation aims to increase that to 50% by 2023.
The Cure Brain Cancer Foundation is hoping to raise $1 Million through the Kick It for Brain Cancer initiative. All funds raised will be dollar-matched and all proceeds will go to the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation.
Wanderers Members and Fans are encouraged to show their support by purchasing a Kick It for Brain Cancer bandana at the precinct or contributing to the bucket collection at ANZ Stadium.
