The Western Sydney Wanderers NPL 2 team will be looking to move back into the top six on Saturday night when they take on Rydalmere Lions at Valentine Sports Park.
The last time the Wanderers and Rydalmere met was in March with the Red & Black recording a 2-0 win thanks to a double from Lachlan Scott.
Unbeaten in their previous three games, Rydalmere are in the top six after a 1-0 victory over Parramatta FC last weekend.
The Wanderers will need to watch out for their top scorer Mitchell Gibbs who has found the net five times this season.
There will also be a familiar face on the field on Saturday with former Wanderer Alusine Fofanah recently signing for Rydalmere.
For the Red & Black, Samuel Silvera has been putting in some impressive performances recently, scoring two goals in his last two games.
After previously playing for Football NSW Institute and Blacktown City, Silvera joined the Wanderers Academy in 2017, scoring 16 goals in 20 games for the U20s side.
Able to play on either wing, the 17-year-old has also earned selection for the Australian U19 Schools team that toured the United Kingdom earlier this year.
Fabian Monge will also be another player to keep an eye on. Monge joined the Wanderers Academy in 2017 after playing his junior football for Marconi and has started every game in the 2017/18 Foxtel Y-League season.
Capable of playing either as a defensive midfielder or in a more attacking role, the 16-year-old was also a member of the Young Socceroos squad that qualified for this year’s AFC U19 Championship.
