The Western Sydney Wanderers are proud to announce the re-signing of goalkeeper Jada Whyman for the upcoming Westfield W-League season.

The talented shot-stopper spent her early years in her hometown of Wagga Wagga before making the move to Western Sydney where she signed for the Wanderers back in October 2015.

At 13, Whyman was called up to represent Australia during the AFC U-16 Womenā€™s Championship and since then has been a regular selection in the Young Matildas and Westfield ā€œPromisingā€ Matildas programs.

Whyman played in almost every match for the Red & Black last season and her impressive performances saw her receive the prestigious national Role Model Award as well as being named Westfield W-League Player of the Year and Membersā€™ Player of the Year at the Wanderers Medal 2018.

Off the field, the gifted 18-year-old has been a tireless ambassador for the Western Sydney Wanderers participating in over 30 community appearances and is a model and mentor for Indigenous footballers in her local area and around the country.

Whyman says sheā€™s excited to continue her journey at the Wanderers, marking her fourth season at the club.

ā€œItā€™s amazing to be four years at the same club,ā€ said Whyman.

ā€œThe last four years at the Western Sydney Wanderers have meant the world to me. The Wanderers launched my professional career and have really helped me in the last few years, so itā€™s been an awesome experience so far.

ā€œPersonally, I would love for us to be in finals this year. I think itā€™s a really big goal for the club.

ā€œThe men have been doing fantastic and for the women to follow itā€¦ That would be a really great achievement for the club as a whole.ā€
