The German defender made a massive 17 clearances during the Wanderers’ 2-0 win over the Mariners on Friday.

That tally was the most since Dino Djulbic had 18 for Perth Glory against Melbourne City in April 2017.

The Wanderers 2-0 triumph also saw Keanu Baccus score his first Hyundai A-League goal, before Jaushua Sotirio sealed the Wanderers’ win with his first strike since February.

Ziegler wasn’t the only impressive German on the pitch at Spotless Stadium.
