The Western Sydney Wanderers will be looking to make it two wins in a row on Sunday afternoon when they travel north to Pluim Park to face Central Coast Mariners.

Central Coast come into the match after a 1-1 draw against St George FC last weekend where they finished the game with 10-men.

The Red & Black will need to keep an on Mariners forward Jordan Smylie after his goal last Saturday, while former Wanderers Academy players Dylan Ruiz-Diaz and Peter Kekeris also line up for the Coast this season.

For the Wanderers, striker Mohamed Adam will be looking to build on last week’s match-winning performance against North Shore Mariners, where goals in each half led the side to a 2-1 win.

The 18-year-old joined the Wanderers Academy in 2017 after playing his junior football for Marconi Stallions.

Adam made an immediate impact for the club, scoring on his Foxtel Y-League debut in November 2017 against Canberra United. A former Bossley Park High School student, Adam has also represented Australia at U18 level.

At the opposite end of the field, goalkeeper Jack Greenwood was solid on Saturday night, pulling off some good saves against North Shore.

The 19-year-old was part of the Wanderers squad that reached the Foxtel Y-League Grand Final this Year and it will be a homecoming of some sorts for Greenwood, who played for Central Coast in the first half of the 2018 NPL season before joining the Red & Black.

The last time the Wanderers and Mariners met was in the Foxtel Y-League in December, when first half strikes from Oliver Puflett and Fabian Monge ensured a 2-0 victory.
