A strike from Wanderers Academy midfielder Fabian Monge opened the floodgates for the Young Socceroos in their 5-0 demolition of Singapore in the 2019 AFF U-18 Championship.
Alongside Monge in the scoresheet was Mariners Academy player Dylan Ruiz-Diaz and Thomas Fay of Sydney FC who helped secure the Young Socceroos semi-final berth at the continental Championship.
The result against Singapore means that the Young Socceroos have edged out Malaysia at the top of Group B with four wins and one defeat from five matches.
Australia will now entertain Myanmar, who finished runners up in Group A to Indonesia, in a semi-final on Saturday in Binh Duong. Kick-off is at 9:30pm AEST.
