Kwame Yeboah knew from the first day the Wanderers squad assembled for training this season that there was a different feel around the club.

As soon as Yeboah walked into the new Centre of Football in Blacktown in late June and met some of the club’s new recruits, he sensed something special.
“As soon as I walked in on that first day, seeing the new gym, the change rooms, all the amazing facilities, the new boys. I could tell things were going to be different,” said Yeboah.
“There were a lot of characters as well, a lot of experienced players – Germans, Polish, Swiss. All who have played around the world in the top leagues.
“These players have brought a good culture and a positive attitude to the club.”

Yeboah, who joined the Red & Black, during the January transfer window last season said the mix of players has not taken long to form a terrific bond.
The likes of Yeboah, Daniel Georgievski and Mitchell Duke have been at the centre of some of the Wanderers light-hearted moments this season.
“For sure the team has a great bond. There are a lot of good characters, guys like Mitch Duke who are killing me!” said Yeboah.
“We are all working well and gelling quite quickly.”
On the serious side, the attacking dynamo can’t wait to experience a full-blown Wanderers atmosphere at the club’s new home at Bankwest Stadium.
Yeboah got a small taste of the atmosphere during the friendly against Leeds United in July when he scored, but the opening game of the Hyundai A-League season against Central Coast Mariners in the official return home to Wanderland on 12 October will be something different.
“We are expecting a very good turn out. It will be very loud because it is such an amazing stadium,” said Yeboah.
“I think our fans will be a lot more excited this year coming to Bankwest.”
Yeboah has been happy with his first pre-season with the Red & Black and has said it has helped being able to be with the squad right from the start.
“I joined half way through last season so I didn’t really have a pre-season,” explained Yeboah.
“Now I have been able to work with the whole squad for almost four months and I can feel it is going to make a huge difference for me.”
