The Wanderers Academy National Premier League (NPL) 1 first grade team will take on Marconi Stallions on Saturday afternoon at Marconi Stadium.
You can stream the match from 4:00pm here.
The Red & Black will be looking to build on their previous three performances when they take on an in-form Marconi away from home.
It has been a frustrating start to the first grade’s NPL 1 campaign with a number of great performances but only a point to show for it.
Last round, the Wanderers faced APIA Leichhardt in a hotly contested fixture. The young guns went down 2-1 but showed a lot of promise, signalling their intentions to be a force to be reckoned with in the first grade competition.
The return of talented midfielder Kosta Grozos bolstered head coach Arthur Diles’ side, with the youngster controlling the midfielder and creating a number of chances for the Red & Black.
Wanderer Ali Auglah will also be one to watch against the experienced Marconi side.
The former Marconi junior has rapidly developed since joining the Wanderers Academy in its inaugural season and has worked his way up through the ranks over the last four years.
The attacker is known to cause chaos in every match he plays in and is no doubt a player of the future.
Growing into the first grade competition each match, the Wanderers will once again be the underdogs when they head into Saturday afternoon’s fixture.
The Stallions have won two of their first three games and come into the fixture against the Wanderers after a recent win against Wollongong Wolves.
A second-half strike from Anthony Frangie secured the win for Marconi which also ended Wollongong’s unbeaten start to the season.
The Red & Black will need to be wary of Frangie who with Mitch Mallia are lethal threats up front.
