2020 has been a challenging year for almost everyone, and it is no different when you look at the impact that it has had on grassroots sporting clubs in Western Sydney.
That is why with the help of the Western Sydney Wanderers, Pepper Money have donated $10,000 worth of sporting equipment to Liverpool Rangers FC the boyhood club of former Wanderers captain and Socceroo, Mitch Duke.
On Thursday the 17th of September representatives from Pepper and the Wanderers presented the equipment to the Liverpool Rangers FC which included: agility poles, aluminium goals, quick feet ladders and cones and balls.
The donation provided by Pepper has allowed the club to repurpose the money that would have otherwise been spent on similar equipment, to continue to maintain their home ground facilities and to cover the lost revenue from registered players as a result of COVID19.
Pepper Money has had a deep seeded connection to the Western Sydney community for many years. It’s long standing partnership with the Wanderers and naming rights to Penrith Stadium from 2015 to 2017 are a testament to that.
Pepper Money’s CEO, Mario Rehayem explains why Pepper is so passionate about supporting the Western Sydney Community, “Getting behind grass root organisations like the Liverpool Rangers is important for us, because of the work they do to build social connectivity in the area where many of our customers live and work.
