The Western Sydney Wanderers Westfield W-League team will sign off on their 2020/21 campaign with a trip to Finals contenders Adelaide United on Sunday afternoon.
The Wander Women go into the game on the back of a 4-0 drubbing of Melbourne City last Thursday night, their second win over the reigning champions this season.
A first-half double from Bryleeh Henry followed by a late brace from Rosie Galea sealed the Wanderer’s best win all season. Teigan Collister was again superb on the right-wing, her combination with Julie-Ann Russell and her electrifying speed setting up both of Henry’s goals.
In the 12th minute, a clever pass into space from Julie Russell saw a flying Collister chase down the ball before delivering the perfect ball into Henry who flicked in from close range.
Minutes later Russell and Collister combined again, with the later running onto a perfectly timed pass from the former Irish international, before controlling the ball brilliantly and laying it on a platter for Henry to tap in.
A stunned Melbourne City could only watch on.

The second half saw a more even contest before Collister again ripped through the heart of City.
She picked the ball up in her own half before driving forward and laying it off for Leena Khamis who’s perfect pass across goal found Galea who slammed in to make it three.
Not satisfied with that, the Wander Women wanted more. After a Georgia Yeoman-Dale cross was parried down by City goalkeeper Melissa Barbieri, Galea latched onto the rebound to hammer the ball home to make it 4-0.
The goal rounded off a superb night for the Wanderers and made everyone in Red & Black think what might of been if the season was longer.
Adelaide United go into the gamesearching for their first-ever Finals appearance.
Adrian Stenta’s team have been the Cinderella story this year as they push for a post season run.United went down 4-2 to second placed Brisbane Roar on Friday night despite a double from 21-year-old forward Chelsie Dawber.
A second-half hat-trick from Matilda Emily Gielnik in the space of 18 minutes, led the Roar to the win.
Dawber has been in solid form this season with five goals. Emily Condon and Maria Jose Rojas have created 38 goal scoring chances between them in 2020/21 and will be a major threat up front.
It will be a season defining game at Coopers Stadium on Sunday afternoon with kick-off at 4:05pm.
