Western Sydney Wanderers can today confirm Graham Dorrans will return to Scotland following the mutual termination of his contract.
Dorrans played 23 times for the Wanderers in the A-League 2020/21 season, scoring four goals and captaining the team on multiple occasions.
The club granted the former Scotland international an early release from the final year of his agreement on compassionate grounds.
Wanderers CEO John Tsatsimas thanked Dorrans for his time in the Red & Black.
“Graham was an outstanding professional during his time with the club and we thank him for his service and wish him well on his return to Scotland,” said Tsatsimas.
“In the best interest of the player and his family we made this decision with Graham to ensure we can progress with certainty this season in our squad planning and recruitment.”
Dorrans thanked the club and its members and fans.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience playing in front of such amazing fans,” said Dorrans.
“Everyone at the club has been so welcoming and I would like to thank the gaffer, Kenny, all the staff and the players. They’re a great bunch of players and staff that I’m sure will bring success to this club.
“Unfortunately for family reasons I have had to return home but I wish the whole club every success in the future.”
