Western Sydney Wanderers and agency partner Murmur Group have won the Mumbrella Award for Data Driven Marketing at tonight’s virtual Mumbrella Awards.

Hosted by radio and TV personality, Merrick Watts, the awards celebrate the best work and talent throughout Australia and New Zealand’s marketing, advertising, media, production, PR, and communications industries.

Murmur and the Wanderers took out the Mumbrella Award for Data Driven Marketing with their project Using Historical Purchase Trends to Predict & Influence Consumer Purchasing Behaviour.

The award caps off what has been a successful partnership between the Murmur Group and Wanderers who last year took out the honours in the SEM Rush Award’s for Best Use Of Data In Search Campaigns as well as Gold in Sports Marketing and B2C and silver in Marketing Effectiveness at the globally recognised W3 Awards at the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts in New York.

Wanderers Head of Marketing and Communications Mark Jensen praised the collaborative partnership.

“Working with an agency that truly understands your needs and works collaboratively to create great outcomes is fundamental to the work that we do,” said Jensen.

“Dave and the team at Murmur have been great partners for the past two years and we are thrilled to share this achievement with them.”

Founder and Managing Director of Murmur Group Dave Levett was thrilled with the award win.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to win this award for our work with Western Sydney Wanderers. This award is great recognition of the work that both our team at Murmur and the Wanderers Marketing team have put in over the past year,” said Levett.

“I’d like to thank Mark Jensen and his Wanderers Marketing team for being such amazing clients to work with, and for giving us the opportunity to not only work with them, but to partner with them and build a collaborative working culture.

“I’d like to thank Corey Middleton who led and managed this campaign for us. It was Corey’s drive for data and insights around fan purchase behaviour that led to the success of this campaign and this award is fantastic recognition for the hard work that Corey and his team put into it.”
