Future Wander Women Program

With the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 fast approaching and rising interest in the world game on Australian shores, the Future Wander Women program is an opportunity to be discovered, mentored and developed as the next superstar in Western Sydney.

The FREE 20-week training program launched in March in 2021 with 188 young female players attending the trials over two weeks with Wanderers Academy Technical Director and coaching staff watching over selections along with FWW head coach Linda Khamis and Wanderers midfield ace, Libby Copus-Brown, as assistant coach.

The free 20-week training program aimed at female participants aged 14-17 years was supported by the Wanderers Foundation and contributors including ICC Sydney, ABC Radio Sydney and Wanderers W-League partners Intermain and Western Sydney University in it’s inaugural intake.

In 2022, as well as extending the numbers for this program, the Wanderers, supported by the Wanderers Foundation, have expanded the age range for the program to U10s – U16s (born 2006 – 2012).

The FREE 20-week training program is supported by the Wanderers Foundation and contributors ICC Development Group, Western Sydney University, Intermain, Interactive Accounting and Cook’s Plumbing in 2022.
