2025 Female Football Cup Kicks Off with Thrills for U10s and U14s

The first weekend of the 2025 Female Football Cup delivered plenty of excitement as the Under 10s and Under 14s squads took to the pitch on Sunday 2 November. 

The event is proudly supported by the New South Wales Government, helping young stars showcase their skills, determination, and team spirit in what was a memorable opening round for this much-loved tournament.

In the Under 10s division, six talented teams battled it out for glory. The final saw Ljubuski FC face off against Blacktown Spartans in an entertaining clash. Ljubuski FC held firm to claim a 2-0 victory, lifting the trophy and leaving their supporters beaming with pride.

The Under 14s division featured five teams, with two sides from Blacktown Spartans making it all the way to the final.

After a tense and hard-fought match, This is Sparta triumphed 2-1 on penalties over We are the Spartans, following a 1-1 draw in full time. The match kept spectators on the edge of their seats and highlighted the growing talent and competitive spirit within the division.

This free-to-attend tournament helps create an accessible and inspiring environment for young female footballers across the region.

With the opening weekend complete, the 2025 Female Football Cup promises more thrilling matchups, outstanding talent, and unforgettable moments as it continues over the next month at Wanderers Fives.
