Head coach Alen Stajcic has named his extended squad for Tuesday night’s Hahn Australia Cup Round of 32 fixture against Peninsula Power.
The match marks the club’s first competitive fixture of the new campaign, with several familiar faces returning to the squad alongside key off-season signings including Kosta Barbarouses, Alou Kuol, Steven Ugarkovic and Phillip Cancar.
The Wanderers head into the new season with momentum following a strong 2024/25 campaign that saw the side return to finals football and deliver an exciting brand of attacking play.
Under the guidance of Alen Stajcic, the team showed resilience, consistency, and a clear identity, qualities they’ll be looking to build on in year two of his tenure.
With Stajcic at the helm, the Red & Black have re-established themselves as a serious force in the competition, and the Australia Cup offers a valuable early platform to test the squad’s depth, integrate new signings, and continue the club’s push for silverware.
Opponents Peninsula Power are making their fifth appearance in the Australia Cup Final Rounds and qualified after an impressive run of high-scoring victories. It will be the first-ever meeting between the two clubs.
