The Western Sydney Wanderers Schools Cup, proudly brought to you by Bathla, has wrapped up for another year, with four schools crowned champions following an outstanding Finals series that showcased the best emerging football talent from across the region.
Following preliminary events featuring 256 teams from more than 90 schools, the competition was narrowed to 56 finalist teams representing 36 schools, all vying for Schools Cup glory across four divisions.
In the Year 7/8 Boys Final, Matraville Sports High School claimed the title with a 3-1 victory over Chatswood High School, while William Clarke College proved too strong in the Year 7/8 Girls competition, defeating Blaxland High School 3-0.
Belmore Boys High School lifted the Year 9/10 Boys trophy after overcoming Matraville Sports High School 3-1, before William Clarke College completed a remarkable double by securing the Year 9/10 Girls championship with a commanding 5-0 win over Rooty Hill High School.
Across the tournament, an incredible 661 matches were played, highlighting the continued growth of school football across Western Sydney and reinforcing the Wanderers Schools Cup as one of the region’s premier school sporting competitions.
The Wanderers Schools Cup continues to provide students with the opportunity to represent their school, compete against the region’s best and strengthen the connection between grassroots football and the Western Sydney Wanderers.

Attention now turns to the Primary School Wanderers Schools Cup, which kicks off on Monday 3 August as the next generation of young footballers begin their journey towards Schools Cup glory.
