A letter from Marcelo

Wanderers captain Marcelo ahead of tomorrow night’s clash against Adelaide United at CommBank Stadium.

It’s been six months here and I am really happy. My family has settled and I am happy with the staff and with the players.

We have been working really hard to achieve something this season, so I am grateful I can continue to help the club next season.

I feel really elated to have re-signed for next season because it’s a new opportunity to do my best and try to help the club go to the highest standards.

I give everything for the jersey and for the club, that’s how I grew up and that’s my character.

It’s important to leave a legacy in football and that is what I want to do at the Western Sydney Wanderers and in my life.

We have achieved nothing yet, but we are trying hard to get there, that is my vision and we need your support to get there.

I would like to thank you for supporting and welcoming my family, and I hope to see you in the stands this Friday night when we fight for second spot on the ladder against Adelaide.

See you on Friday night!

Your captain,
Marcelo
