Filipino-American defender Janae DeFazio joins the team, bringing experience from the Philippines national team and professional stints in the United States, Portugal, and the Philippines. Known for her technical ability, tactical awareness, and work ethic, DeFazio adds versatility and strength to the Wanderers’ defensive line.
Adding to the international flavor, Chinese stars Wang Ying and Yuan Cong have been signed ahead of the season.
With the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup coming to Australia, these players bring world-class experience and skill to the squad. Wang Ying strengthens the defence with her international pedigree, while Yuan Cong promises excitement in attack as one of China’s brightest emerging talents.
The Wander Women also welcome back senior players Amy Harrison, Amy Chessari, Holly Caspers, and fan favourite Sham Khamis, bringing leadership, experience, and continuity to the squad.
