Western Sydney Wanderers FC have today confirmed a new partnership with Abal Banking (Arab Bank Australia) until the end of 2022.
The partnership with Abal Banking will see the financial institution become the presenting partner of the Wanderers School Cup which brings together over 150 teams from 80 schools from all over the Western Sydney region to compete in a knock-out tournament in a friendly and competitive environment.
Arab Bank Australia has been in operation in Australia since 1986 with a focus on delivering exceptional service to fulfil their commitment to customers and the community.
Abal Banking have a proud history of investing back into the communities they serve, supporting a range of not-for-profit organisations and local community initiatives.
Western Sydney Wanderers CEO John Tsatsimas praised Abal Banking’s investment in the Wanderers community.
“We are delighted to have Abal Banking’s support in our community space where we endeavour to make football more accessible and a positive focus for our community,” said Tsatsimas.
“The Wanderers Schools Cup tournament has grown significantly over the years and this year we are expecting a record-breaking turnout of participants, schools, and teams after the two years of disruption to schools and our young people.
“We would like to thank Abal Banking for their support of our community program and look forward to a great partnership in 2022.”

The Wanderers Schools Cup 2022 powered by Abal Banking, will commence in Term 2 with the Finals of the multi-age group tournament to be hosted at Wanderers Football Park later in the year.
