NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Wanderers defender Michael Beauchamp is confident that the club can do damage on any Hyundai A-League finalist.

The 32-year-old believes the Wanderers form is true to the way they-ve been playing football and preparation will remain the same.

“Obviously a great achievement by the club and something we-re going to remember this first year,” Beauchamp said.

“We have to refocus this week – rebuild and regenerate.”

Whilst some may say the week off will do the Wanderers no good – the Captain begs to differ.

“It-s given a chance to get everyone back to full fitness and provide the boss with a headache of selecting the starting 11,” said Beauchamp.

“We’ve still got another week.”

An amazing high after winning the Premier-s Plate on Friday night was cut short with the devastating news surrounding the death of Rod Allen.

The tragic accident has put the Premiership win in perspective for Beauchamp and the club.

“Everything can get taken away from you so fast,” he said.

“That-s why the motivation is there more so now because you don-t know what-s going to happen tomorrow which is why you can only take what is now.”
