Boade signs loan deal

Western Sydney Wanderers FC have this morning confirmed the loan signing of Tess Boade from North Carolina Courage for the upcoming Liberty A-League season.

Boade arrives in Western Sydney off the back of her first season in the National Women’s Soccer League with giants North Carolina Courage.

The 23-year-old made five appearances and scored two goals for Courage in the domestic league last season and was part of the squad that won the 2022 Challenge Cup.

Boade said she was excited for the Liberty A-League season.

“The Wanderers are a world renowned club and I have heard many praises both from former players as well as competitors of the club,” said Boade.

“I wanted to come to an environment with a high level of competition and world class facilities. I am beyond excited to be here.

“After just completing my rookie season in the NWSL, I have learned many things and grown immensely as a player. It was an immediate adjustment as I became teammates with players I had looked up to for years.

“I am new to the Liberty A-League and have been enjoying learning the history of the league. I know the league is growing and the competition is improving every year. I am excited to play my part and watch it grow.”

The Red & Black will open their Liberty A-League season with an away match in Tamworth against the Newcastle Jets on Saturday 26 November 2022. You will be able to stream the match live on Paramount+ and 10PLAY.
