The 30 year old striker, who also played for local rivals, Sydney FC, for 2 years cannot wait to get back to his roots by playing football in the heart land of Australia, Western Sydney.

“I-m really excited to be back in Sydney with the opportunity to join the Wanderers. I played with Popa at Sydney FC and know the standard he sets so it will be great to be part of that as a player. I-ve also heard a lot about the amazing atmosphere at Wanderland and can-t wait to play in front of the fans and represent western Sydney.” Said a happy Santalab at joining the Wanderers.

Wanderers Coach, Tony Popovic said: “I-m pleased that Brendon has joined us at the Wanderers. He is a real asset to our squad and brings great versatility. Brendon can play anywhere across the front line and will give us some more options and depth on the field.”

Wanderers Executive Chairman Lyall Gorman said: “The signing of Brendon to our club is a great addition and continues our commitment to enhance our playing roster ahead of the Hyundai A-League 2013-14 season and of course our first ever participation in the AFC Champions League.. He is an experienced player who will bring a real drive for the Wanderers up front. His goal scoring record speaks for itself. Having started his football at Parramatta Power, Brendon has a connection to western Sydney which the Wanderers fans will love. His signing further reflects the Wanderers culture and commitment to bring local players back home.”
