Over 1200 people have become Members in less than a week and squad members Mark Bridge and Shannon Cole are excited to be a part of the Wanderers and are thrilled by the start the club has had off the pitch.
“We have had a great turn out at both of our friendly matches and the support of the people has been great,” Bridge said. “I can-t tell you how many people have stopped me walking down the street or at the shops that are looking forward to seeing the Wanderers in action.”
Cole, who has 95 A-League appearances to his name, is looking forward to being part of something special.
“This is a chance for people to start the journey with us,” Cole said. “It is a great opportunity to be a part of history so we are encouraging everyone to become a member.”
With the squad now continuing through their pre-season training and playing a number of friendly matches, Cole is looking forward to making Parramatta Stadium the Wanderers new home come season kick off.
“It-s a very historic place, we-ve seen a lot of great moments at that ground over the years but this is a great opportunity to make it our home and get plenty of red and black there.”
