Brook signs two-year deal with Red & Black

Western Sydney Wanderers FC have tonight confirmed the signing of Lachlan Brook for the next two Isuzu UTE A-League seasons.

Brook is set to make his return to the domestic competition with the Red & Black having spent the last season at Brentford B where he was loaned out to Crewe Alexandria.

The versatile forward broke onto the scene with Adelaide United where he made his professional debut as a 16-year-old in the AFC Champions League.

The former Youth Player of the Year made 40 appearances across all competitions for United before moving overseas and has been a very familiar face in the Australian National Team set-up recently representing the Olyroos at the world-renowned Maurice Revello tournament.

Head coach Marko Rudan welcomed Lachlan to the club.

“We are delighted to be able to work with Lachlan over the next two seasons as we continue his development both as a professional footballer and person,” said Rudan.

“We welcome him and his family to the Red & Black.”

Brook said he was excited to continue his football development at the Wanderers.

“The interest from the club was massive for me, they’ve shown me what they want to do with me and after having a chat with Marko (head coach Marko Rudan), I knew that this was going to be the best place for me to develop and improve my game,” said Brook.

“I know that the Wanderers are a massive club with a very good member and fan base, and having played at CommBank Stadium before, I know that it is an amazing stadium and I can’t wait to play there again.

“For me, it’s all about falling in love with the game again and learning to add goals and assists to my game.

“I need consistent game time under a great coach so that’s what I’m looking to do at the Red & Black.”
