Western Sydney Wanderers FC have today confirmed the signing of Ella Buchanan as an injury-replacement player for midfielder Bethany Gordon until the end of the Liberty A-League season.
The 19-year-old has signed her professional contract in the Liberty A-League with the Wanderers after a number of months as a train-on player with the club.
Buchanan joins the club off the back of a very consistent season in the National Premier League Women’s with NWS Spirit where she featured in 22 matches and scored one goal.

The defender has quickly adapted to life in the A-Leagues, making her debut over the weekend against Melbourne Victory.
Head coach Robbie Hooker spoke highly of Ella.
“Ella has been training with us for a couple of months and she’s always looked like she’s up to the level of Liberty A-League football,” said Hooker.
“I think Ella will do really well, she has fitted into the group really well, and she’s going to have an opportunity now over the next 6-8 weeks to see what she can do for the team.
“Hopefully, it will lead to a more permanent deal for her for the coming seasons.”
