Defender Margaux Chauvet on wearing the Red & Black hoops for another season and putting her best foot forward.
The 19-year-old defender broke onto the scene last season with the Wanderers, making six appearances in the heart of defence alongside club legend Caitlin Cooper.
The experience with the Wanderers both on and off the pitch is now something that Chauvet hopes to grow from in her second season at the club.
“Last season, I was grateful to play, to be on the field and have some starting positions,” said Chauvet.
“So I’m going to keep pushing for that and keep developing my skills as a centreback.
“I had some things to take away from last season to reflect on and I’m hoping to put that into my game this year.”
Looking ahead now to her second season of the Liberty A-League and Chauvet is eager to show off all her hard work from a long pre-season at the Wanderers Centre of Football.
“I’m so stocked, so grateful to be back at the Wanderers,” said Chauvet.
“It was an amazing experience last year so to be back again is just so amazing.
“I’m keen for the season to start, I’m keen for all our work that we’ve been putting together and I’m keen for that to show its results.”
It’s set to a mix of familiar and new faces when the Wanderers line up for the first time this season on Friday night against Wellington Phoenix with Chauvet confident that the positive atmosphere within the group will translate to results.
“We’re so excited and the vibe (within the group) is amazing,” said Chauvet.
“We’re keen and we’re ready.
“We’ve had the best pre-season possible and we’ve all been working hard together and pushing ourselves.
“So I’m excited to see the results.”
