Collister ready to give her all

Teigan Collister

Forward Teigan Collister is ready to be more than just a bright spark in the Wanderers W-League campaign in 2021/22.

The 21-year-old winger featured in nine games and had four assists in what she described as a rollercoaster first season at the Red & Black.

“Last season was definitely a bit of a rollercoaster – when things are going well it’s always easier to keep the ball rolling, so the fact that we were able to stay level-headed through the tougher times as well is testament to the team’s quality,” said Collister.

“On a personal and team level, I think everyone found their feet towards the middle of the season and I know we all would have loved a couple more games to push ourselves up the ladder.”

With plenty of unfinished business at the Wanderers, Collister recently re-signed with the club in what is set to be her fourth season in the W-League competition.

“I think one of the best things about playing for the Wanderers is the culture that’s ingrained into the club,” said Collister.

“Everyone involved at the club fosters a professional environment that both supports players and encourages us to take pride and determination into every game.”Collister

Looking ahead to the upcoming W-League season, Collister has her sights on giving her all for the club.

“I’m really looking forward to seeing the results we can achieve for the club this season – the whole squad is ready to work really hard and put in 100% for each other,” said Collister.

” To prove ourselves as strong competitors and secure a place in the finals – that’s definitely a shared goal.

“On a personal level, I want to be a player that the girls can rely on to perform and bring consistency from out on the wing.

“I’d also love to score more goals of my own this season and improve on that aspect of my game.”
