Fresh off a demanding run of fixtures and a statement midweek victory over league leaders Melbourne City, the Wanderers head into the encounter against Adelaide brimming with confidence.

Three wins on the road have not only lifted the side up the ladder but reinforced the belief growing within the playing group as they continue to find consistency and cohesion.

For Chessari, last week marked a personal milestone, opening her goal-scoring account in Red & Black during a period that has seen the Wanderers rewarded for their persistence and resilience.

“So I played a ball through down the left, and I saw the play was opening up and it kind of just fell to me,” Chessari said.

“I took a quick touch, aimed for the far post and it was a nice hit. After I scored, I kind of ran around like a little minion,” she laughed.

“But it was the best moment, and hopefully I can recreate some more moments like that this year.”

The Wanderers’ recent form has been built on belief as much as results. A gritty derby win over Sydney FC followed by a resilient performance against Melbourne City showcased a side growing in confidence, defensive discipline, and attacking intent.

Despite the challenge of a congested schedule, Chessari believes the heavy workload has helped the squad find rhythm rather than fatigue.

“I think everyone wants to play games,” she said.

“Obviously three matches back to back is a big load, but it’s been great for our momentum. Coming off that big win against Sydney and then playing top of the table Melbourne City, we all had that belief.”

“Three wins on the road has been massive for us, and now we’re going into this Adelaide game with high spirits. It feels like the perfect way to finish off a big week.”

For Chessari, the importance of home support is clear, with the midfielder urging fans to help lift the side as they look to extend their winning streak.

“When Wanderers Football Park is packed, that’s when the atmosphere really comes alive and it gives us that extra push,” she said.

“Coming off three good performances and three wins on the road, what a perfect way to end this great run at home.”

“So come down, come support us. It’s going to be a great match.”

As the Wanderers aim to continue their remarkable run in the Ninja A-League, Sunday night presents another opportunity to turn belief into momentum and make Wanderers Football Park a fortress once again.
