Eight players from the Wanderers Academy have been selected in the NSW Combined Schools State Teams for an upcoming tournament at Valentine Sports Park in June.
Thomas Aquilina, Brodie Clarkson, Martin Fernandez, Sam Silvera, Jarrod Carluccio, Alex Lopez, Dylan Locaputo and Mackenzie Syron have all been named following the State Championships in Griffith.
The Wanderers Academy players have been selected to represent teams from Sydney’s South-West, North and East.
The upcoming tournament provides opportunities for students in all school systems to represent their region in a state-wide competition.
Wanderers Academy Technical Director Ian Crook says the opportunity is something that the players have been working hard for at the Academy.
“I’m delighted for them all individually. They’ve worked really hard over the last year and it’s something for them to look forward to in the next step of their development.”
